You must stop what you're doing right now and watch this. An absolutely amazing demo of the coolest technology. It's rolling out little by little, and you can actually sort of play with it online now (www.photosynth.com). In any event, the demo is wonderful. Let me know what you think!

A world without cliques and borders
When it comes to politics, I'm a conservative, perhaps even a bit of a republican. It wasn't always that way, but as I moved from the carefree liberalism of my college years through the harsh working world, the general tenor of the republican/conservative party line seemed to make a lot more sense in pursuit of financial security and safety for me and my family.
That said, I think there is a parallel dimension where political parties fade away and we just need to do things that are intelligent in the hopes of building a better world for ourselves and a better future for the Earthlings and flora and fauna that post-dates us.
My vision with this blog is to develop a new set of ideals that aren't liberal, conservative, democratic, republican or anything like that. I heard the term "intelligent optimism" in a very cool magazine called "Ode" and it made a lot of sense to me. I think this is a movement that could help us all make a difference without having to sacrifice an important principle: be nice to other humans.
